Ⅰ. Description
The prepaid water meter is new type of smart water meter that uses modern
microelectronic technology, modern sensing technology, and smart IC card
technology to measure water consumption and conduct water data transmission
and settlement transactions. It adopts a pre-paid method, which not only
achieves reasonable charging, it will also automatically close the valve when the
meter is in arrears.

Ⅳ. Operating Instructions
1. Users should be account opening, archiving at the water management office
when using the water meters for the first time, buying subscriber card with
corresponding water volume. The subscriber card can be used on specified
water meter only during the first use lest for unnecessary loss.
2. Tap the user card on the touch area, it means card reading is being
processed when the LCD shows 【rd IC】; If it shows【END】, it means card data
storage completed; If it shows【Err XXX】 means error arises, Please retry, if
error continues, contact the management department then; (Light will flash
when card data storage is in process)
3. The water meter automatically shuts down the valve and sends alarm when
the remaining water volume of the meter less than the warning value set theuser can put again the card in water meter touch area to open the valve, the
water meter continues to work. The valve of meter is automatically shut down
when the remaining volume decreases to zero, the meter can be opened only
after the subscriber buy the credits and do the top-up. By that reminds the
subscriber of timely top-up.
4. The water meter will shut the valve off when under voltage arises, and the
valve can be opened only after the malfunction is removed.
5. The Card reissue need to be handled with at the management endpoint in
case the card is lost, and in the meantime, the previous subscriber card will
automatically be invalid;
6. Use a info transfer card to have info of water meter transferred into a new
meter when current water meter need to be replaced, the subscriber card
can continue to work.
8. The pointer of water meter will slightly fluctuate when meter under unused
condition due to the water pressure in the pipeline is not stable or any other
reasons, this is the normal phenomenon.
Ⅴ. Installation Instructions
1. The water meter with proper caliber should be choosed according to
diameter of pipeline at installation site and principle of flow ≤ usual flow of
meter
2. 10×DN(Water meter diameter) straight pipe before meter and 5×DN
straight pipe after meter should be reserved.
3. The water meter should be installed in a location where the
administrator can easily read the meter. and avoid being approached by
solarization, flooding ,pollution and foreign magnetic interference. When the
temperature is too low (<0 °C), the administrator should take care to keep the
water meter warm to avoid damage to the water meter.
4. Debris like sand and grits should be prevented from entering the pipe
line when installation(especially with new pipe section),which might lead to
measuring faults and valve blockage
5. For accurate measurement’s sake,during installation,pipe line at outlet
flow should be installed 0.5m higher than meter,valve should be installed at pipeline before water meter so that water supply can be stopped when meter
need to be dismounted .Water meter shouldn’t be directly connected to the
pipeline, movable joints like couplings ,connecting nuts ,connecting pipe
sealing washer are needed. Rough handling is forbidden when dismounting.
6. Indicating arrow engraved on meter should comply with direction of
water flow when installation. Installation must follow horizontal or vertical
type signed on dial register and let dial face up.

Ⅵ.Malfunction Removal
Note:The meter is supposed to be changed by specially-assigned person.
Any replacement done by user is forbidden. Each meter with extension
piece(2 couplings, 2 connecting nuts and 2 seal rings).
Ⅶ. Transport & Storage
1. Transport: The product should be transit by vehicles without strong
vibration after the encasement and avoid being approached and affected by
rains, frost, fog, placing as per sign―This is necessary to prevent damage
from crushing and impact. Environmental conditions of transport to comply
with JB/T9329 standard.
2. Storage: The meters should be stored at dry, ventilated indoor
environment and in which forcible magnetic field action doesn’t exist and air
must be of no corrosive medium. Ambient temperature 5℃~50℃, relative
humidity ≤90%
Ⅷ. Warranty
One year free maintenance service offered with the smart water meter
since the delivery date. Lifetime maintenance, however, damage caused by
the following operations excluded in the warranty:
1. The seal marks of the water meter parts is opened or damaged
2. Parts of the water meter are humanly damaged
3. Parts of the water meter are approached by sun light, flooding, freezing
and chemical pollutions
4. No debris and impurities are removed from the pipeline, causing the valve
in the water meter to clog
5. Damages and faults due to choosing the inappropriate product model No.
Remarks: The battery of the water meter is supposed to be changed by
specially assigned person.
